What is on at Sydney Build Expo 2020?
The Sydney Build Expo 2020 is shaping up to be a good one with some particularly interesting talks and events taking place during it, check out some of events we’ll be visiting below!
Humans of Construction:
The Humans of Construction exhibition will display photography featuring the most influential & inspiring professionals working in the construction industry in Australia. The individuals featured in the photographs will come from a fascinating range of backgrounds in the industry, including; visionary CEO’s that have risen to the top; pioneers that have innovated the industry; architects that have designed iconic landmarks; people/individuals/humans that have broken down barriers in this traditionally mono-cultured industry; students showing incredible promise; selfless charity workers; unsung heroes; leaders of the future, and more.
Beneath each photograph will be snippets of the life story of the human in the photograph to provide the story behind their faces.
Woman In Construction:
Australia’s largest-ever meeting of Women in Construction takes place at Sydney Build 2020. The session is free-to-attend for all and offers the chance for all professionals and students interested in construction, architecture, engineering and related fields to network, learn and feel inspired. Learn from a panel of established experts discussing the untapped opportunities for women, challenges faced and industry changes that are needed across the workplace.
Unfortunately, the organisers overlooked Laird’s pitch to have his own 20 minutes on stage, luckily for you there are over 350 different speakers to choose from. Some of the talks we are looking forward to hearing are NSW Building Work Outlook presented by David Alessi and Future Of Construction presented by Andrew Harris. We are also looking forward to hearing a number talks at the Skills & Finance Hub. Our very own Finance Manager Sarah is particularly looking forward to How To Build An Effective Financial Budget and One Man Finance Solutions.
