An apprenticeship is a training program typically lasting 2-4 years.
They are designed to provide an apprentice with employment that enables them to learn a trade and gain a nationally-recognised
qualification. Apprenticeships include on-the-job work experience and classroom-based learning and assessment.

There is a wide variety of trades available ranging from carpentry, electrical, plumbing to name a few.
1. Online Registration – Apply to HLH Group with a cover letter and resume stating what trade(s) you are interested in and the reason why.
2. Screening Stage – You will be contacted by an HLH Group consultant for the screening and interviewing process.
3. Induction Process – If you are successful in the interview process you will be inducted by your HLH Group consultant in Workplace Health & Safety and informed about the apprenticeship process.
4. Register RTO – HLH Group and apprentice contact a selected Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to organise the off-site training. You are enrolled, and a training plan is established with sets out the delivery and commencement of training, as well as relevant learning modules required for training competency.
5. Sign Training Contract – HLH Group, the RTO and you will sign a ‘training contract’ as executed and approved by an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP).
6. Start Working – You will commence work in line with the training program agreed upon with agreed with HLH Group.
7. Follow Up by RTO – A member of the RTO, as well as the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN), are due for an on-site visit. Over the course of the program, there will normally be four onsite visits conducted
8. Training Completed – Once units of competency have been met and qualification achieved STA confirms the completion of the program, the training contract is ended, and the apprentice has obtained a nationally recognised qualification.

HLH Group will essentially coordinate your apprenticeship between your host employer (who you work on-site with) and your Registered Training Organisation (RTO) such as TAFE who design your training programme and deliver your classroom-based learning materials. TAFE is just one example of an RTO, there are many others, but it is the most common.
